The television anime adaptation of Gege Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen<\/a><\/strong> manga\u00a0has revealed a new visual for its upcoming second season at the Toho Animation 10th Anniversary event. The second season will premiere in 2023 and will cover the manga’s The Origin of Blind and Shibuya Incident Arc in two consecutive cours. A combined version of the two visuals was also revealed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studio MAPPA animated both the 24-episode first season and the prequel movie,\u00a0Jujutsu Kaisen 0, for the franchise. The original Jujutsu Kaisen manga is currently being serialized in Shueisha\u2019s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga launched on March 5, 2018, and 20 volumes are currently out. The manga exceeded\u00a070 million copies\u00a0in circulation earlier this August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses\u2026 and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
