SNK announced it will be shutting down the strategy game, Metal Slug Attack<\/strong><\/a> early next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Announced on the game’s official website<\/strong><\/a>, the game will be shutting down on January 12, 16:00 [JST]. The game launched back on February 15, 2016, shutting down after 6 years and 11 months of service. The premium currency has been pulled from the store, and the game will not issue refunds for any medals purchased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The developers stated on its blog post that it is thankful that players have been able to enjoy the game for as long as it has been around, and stated that going forward the developers won’t be able to provide a satisfactory experience, and will hence terminate the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As mentioned previously, purchase medals will not be refunded, and encouraged players to use them until the end of the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game will also stop all EXTRA OPS after November, which used to be added with every new version of the game. The Crank and Pickup Cranks will stop after November 12, and Rank, and team battles will end in mid-late December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Metal Slug Attack is a strategy game based on SNK’s Metal Slug IP, and is a sequel to the Metal Slug Defense game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players select multiple units from the Metal Slug franchise, and defend their tower against enemies by sending troops to battle it out. Carefully selecting the right units, upgrading them, and effectively using your tower will be the difference between victory and death, as you battle opponents and other players, and the game also supports co-op modes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
