Spin-off media and entertainments\u00a0have also been made despite the absence of any new anime. Fans suspect a sequel is coming according to the hints on the official Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>Gurren Lagann was first produced by Neon Genesis Evangelion&#8217;s studio\u00a0Gainax in 2007 and then followed by two anime films. The story takes place in a world where a large population is forced to live underground and not allowed\u00a0to reach the surface.
