It seems like Netflix isn’t quite done with making absolute bangers of live-action adaptations, as the streaming service provider is looking to make a live-action movie based on Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia<\/strong><\/a> manga series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/a>, Netflix is making a live-action movie and it will be produced by Legendary Entertainment, with Joby Harold penning the screenplay, and directed by Shinsuke Sato, and is the first time the director has worked on an English-language film. Joby Harold is credited with working on Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Army of the Dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Legendary Entertainment purchased the rights to make a live-action My Hero Academia film<\/strong><\/a> back in 2018 and it seems the project is making some headway now with it being released on Netflix’ platform. The film will still be distributed to Japanese theatres and the cast behind the film has yet to be revealed, though if it’s anything like the hilarious Cowboy Bebop<\/strong><\/a> adaptation, it will likely be a mixed cast of actors and new faces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Hero Academia \/ Boku No Hero no Academia, is a manga series by Kohei Horikoshi published on Weekly Shonen Jump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in a world where children are born with Quirks, and unique super-human abilities that can grant them the ability to manipulate elements, fly, and do whatever they want. In the wake of such powers, the world is naturally inhabited by superheroes and villains always battling it out in the streets!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a young man with dreams of becoming like the greatest hero in the world All Might, but when he tests himself for powers he finds out he is completely quirkless. But through a series of events and meeting All Might himself, Izuku finds himself chosen by All Might to inherit his powers, and thus begins his journey of self growth, to become the greatest hero in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
