The television anime adaptation of Makoto Ojiro’s Insomniacs After School<\/strong><\/a> romantic comedy manga will start airing in April on TV Tokyo in Japan. The anime’s staff has also revealed the second key visual, a new trailer, and additional cast members. A live-action film adaptation is also set to premiere in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insomniacs After School is a youthful story set in the small city of Nanao, Ishikawa Prefecture, about a high-school boy, Ganta Nakami played by Gen Satou, who suffers from insomnia, and a high-school girl, Isaki Magari played by Konomi Tamura, who has the same affliction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key visual depicts both main characters connected by an earphone cord while in their respective rooms, and the phrase: “What are you doing now?”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2nd trailer reveals additional cast members, including Haruka Tomatsu as Yui Shiromaru, an ex-member of the astronomy club, Mamiko Noto as Usako Kurashiki, advisor of the club, Seiichiro Yamashita as Tao Ukegawa, Lynn as Motoko Kanikawa, Natsumi Fujiwara as Kanami Anamizu, Sumire Morohoshi as Mina Nono, and Shou Karino as Rui Haida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
