To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Kinnikuman<\/a> <\/strong>anime,<\/strong> a new anime series is currently in production. The announcement was made alongside a new visual and comments from the two original creators, Yudetamago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visual of the anime series was also used as the cover of Shueisha’s March 17 “Kinnikuman Jump Vol. 4 – New Anime Decision & 40th Anniversary of First TV Anime Broadcast Commemorative Issue.” The visual will also be displayed at the “Super Kinnikuman Exhibition,” which will be held at the Tokyo Tower Foot Town B1F Tower Hall from March 18 until April 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yudetamago’s Takashi Shimada (story writer) commented: “We are finally able to announce some happy news that will please everyone. Kinnikuman is getting a new anime! There are still many things we want to convey and everyone is probably curious, but sorry that we can only say this for now. What we can say for sure is that something interesting is being steadily created. Please wait a little longer with anticipation.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yudetamago’s Yoshinori Nakai (illustrator) said: “What can we do to get more people to read Kinnikuman? We have been diligently improving our drawing techniques and continuing to draw with all our hearts and souls. Finally, we have the opportunity to reach out to more people with these thoughts. While we have high expectations, we also feel a great responsibility. We will do our best to create works that everyone can enjoy even more.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u258d<\/strong><\/span> About Kinnikuman<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Created by the duo Yoshinori Nakai and Takashi Shimada, known by the pen name Yudetamago, Kinnikuman was first serialized in Weekly Sh\u014dnen Jump from 1979 to 1987 and was later compiled into 58 tank\u014dbon volumes. The series has since spawned several spin-offs, sequels, and adaptations, including anime series, movies, video games, and merchandise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story follows the adventures of Kinniku Suguru, a clumsy and silly alien prince from Planet Kinniku who dreams of becoming the strongest man in the universe. After coming to Earth and training hard, he becomes a masked superhero and adopts the alter ego of Kinnikuman, using his powers to protect the world from evil threats and defeat various villains in wrestling matches. Along with his allies, including fellow wrestlers and extraterrestrial beings, Kinnikuman competes in the Ultimate Muscle League to prove his worth and defend the Earth from danger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
