Prototype announced that its otome visual novel Butterfly’s Poison; Blood Chains<\/a><\/strong> will be heading to Steam<\/a><\/strong> in June 2023. To celebrate the launch, a commemorative sale offering a 15% discount will run for a week after the game’s release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally released with a first press limited edition for Windows PC on May 27, 2011, followed by its PSP and PS Vita versions in January 2014, in Japan, Butterfly’s Poison now comes to PC via Steam with English language support as its Nintendo Switch port.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Butterfly’s Poison; Blood Chains is set in Tokyo in the 7th year of the Taish\u014d era, 1918, just as the First World War was about to end. The game follows the heroine, Yuriko Nomiya, born into an aristocratic family, and her romantic encounters with five young men amidst a series of disasters befalling her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PC version of the game comes with full support for the Steam Deck and gamepads. On devices equipped with a touch panel, it can also be operated via the touch panel. It also contains all additional elements from past console versions, including added visuals and additional episodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Butterfly’s Poison; Blood Chains, players progresses through the story by selecting from the choices that appear throughout. Depending on the choices made, subsequent developments change, allowing players to enjoy a variety of endings for each love interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
