The coming season will air\u00a0in 2018, which is already\u00a0four years after the series&#8217;\u00a0animated film\u00a0A Certain Magical Index: The Movie \u2013 The Miracle of Endymion, and seven years after the second season. A Certain Magical Index&#8217;s spin-off series A Certain Scientific Railgun\u00a0(<span lang=\"ja\">\u3068\u3042\u308b\u79d1\u5b66\u306e<ruby>\u8d85\u96fb\u78c1\u7832<\/ruby><\/span>\u00a0) will participate in this crossover.
