As previously announced, animation film Your Name (\u541b\u306e\u540d\u306f\u3002) is going to get a Hollywood live-action adaption directed by J.J. Abrams (Star Wars) and written by Eric Heisserer (A Nightmare on Elm Street) for the production. Although the original creator Makoto Shinkai (\u65b0\u6d77\u8aa0) claimed he was optimistic about the result right after the announcement, he seems to have changed his attitude recently.<\/p>\n

Shinkai attended\u00a0Exhibition of Shinkai Makoto at\u00a0The National Art Center in Tokyo today (10th November). When asked what his comment on the coming Hollywood adaption, he said, “Your Name is like my son, but I have no interest in what kind of\u00a0person he will turn into”.<\/p>\n

“Regarding questions like whether we should look forward to it, it’s really up him (Your Name) to deal with since it’s already started.” He added.<\/p>\n
