Alongside being used out of envy and scorn, Riajuu became something of a mockery and irony, used when one does something that is typical of a\u00a0Riajuu an example of this would be a couple flirting in public.<\/p>\n<p>As\u00a0Otaku culture gained more awareness and recognition, a trend of Riajuu denying the fact that they are Riajuu and instead claims to be an Otaku has been spotted.\u00a0 Below are a couple distinctive wannabe-Otakus have:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Use of the following phrases<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">&#8220;I wish I was a Riajuu&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n&#8211; True Otaku may feel this way, but will never say it out loud.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">&#8220;I don&#8217;t have any friends&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n&#8211; A person with no friends won&#8217;t say that they have no friends&#8230;<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff9900;\">&#8220;I&#8217;m not a Riajuu&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n&#8211; There isn&#8217;t a point in emphasizing you&#8217;re not a Riajuu unless you are one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instagram<\/strong><br \/>\nSpecifically, those who show off every little thing they do and tag themselves as an Otaku.
