It was published\u00a0during May 1985 and April 1994 on Bessatsu Shojo Comic.<\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0anime adaption is directed by Hiroko Utsumi (Free!) at Yuri!!! on ICE&#8217;s studio, Mappa.\u00a0Inuyashiki&#8217;s\u00a0screenwriter\u00a0Hiroshi Seko is responsible for the script while\u00a0Akemi\u00a0Hayashi (Peacemaker Kurogane) is responsible for the character design.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><span style=\"color: #ff99cc;\">\u258d<\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Story<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Ash Lynx is a young gang leader in New York City looking to solve the mysteries of &#8220;Banana Fish&#8221; &#8211; a\u00a0phrase that his soldier brother\u00a0Griffin Callenreese said after attacking his fellow comrades.\u00a0Eiji\u00a0Okumura is an university student and an assistant photographer who takes inspiration from street youths. Soon, Eiji becomes the sole person that Ash opens his heart to, and Ash protects him at whatever cost it takes whenever the two go on a mission.<\/p>\n<p><img data-attachment-id=\"25673\"
