<\/p>\nComing live action movie Touken Ranbu: The Movie (\u6620\u753b\u5200\u5263\u4e71\u821e) finally publishes the first visual after the announcement in March. The poster is a headshot of\u00a0the movie’s protagonist –\u00a0Mikazuki Munechika.<\/p>\n

The movie is based on the Touken Ranbu’s stage play spin-off which has been running since 2016, but the story will be one that has never been heard before. Many of the\u00a0recurring stage\u00a0actors\u00a0will return to\u00a0their usual\u00a0roles. Saiji Yakumo (Mars: Tada, Kimi wo Aishiteru) and\u00a0Yasuko Kobayashi (Kamen Rider) have been assigned to be\u00a0the director and the screenwriter respectively.<\/p>\n
Touken Ranbu: The Movie will open in Japan next year.<\/p>\n
