Crunchyroll announced that Shenmue the Animation<\/a><\/strong>, based on Yu Suzuki’s Shenmue game series, will premiere on February 6 at 12:30 a.m. [EST] on both Crunchyroll and Adult Swim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toonami will air the show in North America with English dub, and Crunchyroll will stream the English-subtitled version worldwide outside of Japan and China. In conjunction with this announcement, a new trailer and key visual was disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 13-episode animated series will follow protagonist Ryo Hazuki on his journey to become the ultimate martial artist and avenge his father\u2019s death, aiming to capture the same essence of mystery and thrilling martial arts as the original video game released in December 1999<\/p>\n\n\n\n
