Sega revealed the first gameplay teaser for the upcoming 3D Sonic game, Sonic Frontiers<\/strong><\/a>, on Thursday via IGN, giving us a glimpse of the game’s combat system, world, and enemies! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the first time the series has brought Sonic into an open world, allowing players to explore Starfall Islands and its many deserts, fields, forests, and more. Added to the game is a new combat system typically not present in 3D Sonic games, as he is now able to perform combos, trap enemies in his trail, leap onto gigantic enemies, and possibly much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The open-world 3D platforming action-adventure game is expected to release on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in late 2022. Pre-order is available now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
