Market research says Super Mario Run does not earn as much as expected

Super Mario Run on mobile has been driving gamers crazy since its release on 15th December (iOS). Market research intelligence Newzoo, however, said despite the game having 90 millions downloads at Appstore, only three percents of those downloads actually paid for the full version.

The game has received $30 million (USD) income so far, and the full version is only $9.99. It means only three million players actually paid and the majority of players gave up after clearing the free stages. It seems like Super Mario Run does not really live up to the hype.

The Android version is now available for pre-registration.
