Warner Bros. Games and DC today debuted an all-new cinematic launch trailer for Gotham Knights, the upcoming open-world action RPG releasing on October 21 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The launch trailer previews the exhilarating actions of the Batman Family as players step into the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin, a new guard of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death. The game will also feature a bunch of fans’ favorite villains including Harley Quinn, Clayface, Mr. Freeze, and the secret and sinister Court of Owls.
In Gotham Knights, players can switch between the four playable characters with a quick trip to the Belfry, aka Gotham Knights’ central hub, and while they all share a core control scheme when it comes to melee and ranged combat prompts, Gotham Knights infuse each hero with their own distinct personality and unique abilities.
▍Gotham Knights Solo & Co-Op System
The latest DC title can be played alone or with a friend, as you can jump in and out of a session with a friend. It also features RPG elements, like leveling up your characters to make them the crime-fighting legends they are in comic books.
From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, players will tackle an array of challenges as they evolve into their own version of the Dark Knight. Players can also form teams comprised entirely of the same character in Gotham Knights’ two-player co-op mode.
The game is currently available for pre-order, while those who do so can receive the 233 Kustom Batcycle Skin at launch, based on the vehicle’s first appearance in DC’s Detective Comics #233.
