Toho and CG studio Orange released a new trailer for the Trigun Stampede anime, revealing even more cast members, staff, and debut date of January 2023.
The new trailer went into more detail about Vash’s journey, personality, and the enemies coming for his bounty! The trailer also revealed Sakura Andou as Meryl Stryfe, Kenji Matsuda as Roberto De Niro, and Yoshimasa Hosoya as Nicholas D. Wolfwood, as well as how all of these characters will come across Vash and into his story, sometime before the original Trigun!
New staff has also been unveiled, including Takehiko Okishi on the story draft, Tatsurō Inamoto, Shin Okashima, and Yoshihisa Ueda in charge of the script and composition, Nao Ootsu as the chief designer. Other character designers include Kōdai Watanabe, Tetsurō Moronuki, Takahiko Abiru, Akiko Satō, Soji Ninomiya, and Yumihiko Amano. The anime’s music is being composed by Tatsuya Katō, who also did the music for Free! and the Fate Prisma Illya series.

▍About Trigun Stampede
Trigun is a manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhiro Nightow, who also later worked on games like Gungrave, and the manga Blood Blockade Battlefront (Kekkai Sensen). The series is set on the fictional planet called No Man’s Land, and follows the story of Vash the Stampede, an inhumanly powerful, yet immensely kind young man who is constantly sought after for his 60 billion dollar bounty.
Trigun Stampede is a prequel series following Vash on the hunt for Millions of Knives across the galaxy. On his adventures, he is hunted for his incredibly high bounty of 6,000,000 dollars, while two reporters are on the search for their latest scoop, by following Vash, who’s also known as the Human Typhoon because of all the tragedy he brings, despite being a pacifist at heart!
