NetEase Games announced today the next event coming to their Dead By Daylight Mobile game collaborating with Sadako, the grudging spirit from the horror film “The Ring”. The collaboration event titled Sadako Rising will be available from October 27 to November 9. The collaboration is currently announced for Japan only.
In case you never heard of the movie, it’s a horror flick where a reporter researches a videotape filled with nightmarish images that leads to a phone call foretelling the viewer’s death in exactly seven days. Originally, it was a novel in 1991 but got adapted as a huge movie in 1998, and still remains a blockbuster to this day by horror movie fans.

During the event, Sadako appears as a killer. In addition to moving around stealthy, Sadako can also teleport through a TV set up on the map. Yoichi Asakawa, also from the same series, joins the survivors.
He is said to have a special perk that supports injured allies, interferes with murderers, and increases his movement speed, making it easier for him to escape from the Killers.

Sadako’s curse can be broken by spreading the cursed videotape to others. By investigating the videotape on the official website and spreading the cursed videotape by participating in the H5 event, you will receive further collaboration information as well as rewards.
The rewards include a Sadako icon and profile frames, and a Sadako-themed T-Shirt pattern! Sadako and Yoichi Asakawa will also have exclusive costumes such as Flower of Eternal Sleep and Supernatural Case Investigator, respectively.
