The official website for the anime adaptation of Gido Amagakure’s A Galaxy Next Door manga started streaming the first trailer that showcased more cast and staff members, The anime has also announced an April 2023 premiere date.
The romantic comedy centers on a desperate manga artist, who has to support his two young siblings and meet a new assistant. Since his parents died, manga artist Ichiro has barely scraped by, forced to support his two younger siblings with just a middle school education. He doesn’t even have time to learn how to use a computer, which forces him to keep wrestling with pen and paper.
Just as he’s nearing his breaking point, the beautiful and scarily competent Shiori Goshiki applies to become his new assistant. But there’s something almost otherworldly about Goshiki, and soon Kuga finds his reality turned upside down when she suddenly declares them engaged to marry!
In the trailer, it was revealed that Rina Endō (right) will be joining the cast as Machi Kuga, and Maria Naganawa (left) will be voicing Fumio Kuga.
