As announced in Jump magazine earlier, anime series Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma (食戟のソーマ) will air in October instead of July this year. A teaser video is released today, depicting the battle between the Elite Ten members and protagonist Soma Yukihira.
According to official Twitter, the new season is called Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Third Plate (食戟のソーマ 餐ノ皿). Although the voice actors are yet to be revealed, the original cast is expected to return.
Written by Yuto Tsukuda (附田祐斗) and published on Weekly Shonen Jump , the original manga has already got two seasons of TV anime. In the story, Soma Yukihira is a student at an elite culinary school called Totsuki Academy. He is hoping to be a great chef after going through all the challenges posed by his fellow schoolmates and other chefs, and successfully graduating from this school where only a few can manage to graduate.
