Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure Anime Debuts on February 5 to Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Franchise

The 20th installment of the Pretty Cure anime series, Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure will start airing on February 5 on ABC TV and TV Asahi in Japan. The key visual, cast, staff, and synopsis have been unveiled. The series celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Pretty Cure franchise.

In this new anim series, the Precures will be active in two cities, Skyland, a world in the sky, and Solaseed City, a city surrounded by nature.

The series director is Koji Ogawa, who has long been involved with the Pretty Cure series, including directing Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 2: Friends of the Heart. The series composition is by Ryunosuke Kanetsuki, character design by Atsushi Saito, and music by Erika Fukazawa. The opening theme song “Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure ~Hero Girls~”, and the ending theme song “Hirogarhythm” is performed by Ishii and Chihaya Yoshitake.

Prior to the broadcast, on February 4, “Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure – Minna Atsumare!” a live-performance show will be streamed on the official YouTube channel. The ending dance will be revealed for the first time, and part of the first episode will also be shown.

An athletic 14-year-old girl from Skyland. Sora has trained hard every day to become a hero, like the person of her dreams who saved her when she was a child. She and Eru are staying at Mashiro’s house in Solaseed City.

The young princess of Skyland. She came to Solaseed City with Sora after she had been kidnapped. She has the mysterious power to create the Sky Tones, which allows the Pretty Cures the ability to transform. She loves to say “Eru~”.

About Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure

Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure is the twentieth installment of the series, a magical girl anime and multimedia franchise, created by Toudou Izumi and produced by Toei Animation, Asahi Broadcasting Corporation, and Asatsu-DK, and also part of the franchise’s 20th-anniversary celebration.

One day, the young princess Elle of Skyland is kidnapped by a monster from the Underg Empire. Sora Harewataru, a brave young woman who aspires to become a hero, follows the princess into a mysterious hole that leads her to another world in Solaseed City. Sora and Elle decide to stay at the house of Mashiro Nijigaoka, a second-year high school girl, whom they meet in Solaseed City.
