The video goes into Megumin’s past and the origin of her fascination with explosion magic despite what others think, completely believing in its power and potential after she was inspired by a mage using it. The video also features the anime’s opening theme song, “Stay Free” by Machico.

A year before Satou Kazuma was taken to a new world, there was the tale of Megumin, the strongest explosion magician in all the lands! The series follows Megumin at the Red Prison Academy, studying and earning her chops as a young magician wanting to learn about explosion magic!
However, at the magic academy, she is ridiculed and mocked for wanting to learn explosion magic due to its immense mana cost and impracticality, but that won’t stop Megumin from chasing after her dream of the biggest explosion!
One day though her little sister Komekko finds a strange black cat they lovingly name Chomusuke. Little do they know though, the tiny thing is actually the secret key to unveiling a tomb of an ancient god!
