About The Dangers in My Heart

Norio Sakurai began serializing The Dangers in My Heart in Shōkan Shōnen Champion Magazine on March 8, 2018. It has since moved to Champion Cross, before being moved back to Manga Cross. The manga has been published in English as The Dangers in My Heart by Seven Seas Entertainment since July 20, 2021.

The story follows Kyoutarou Ichikawa, a high school boy with a severe case of “middle-school syndrome” who is obsessed with murder-themed grotesque novels. His eyes often wander to his classmate, the popular and beautiful Anna Yamada, where he indulges in dangerous delusions.

One day, Yamada unexpectedly visits Ichikawa’s sacred territory, the school library. Mistakenly thinking that he is alone, she cheerfully eats rice balls, sings to herself, and behaves unpredictably, drawing Kyoutarou’s attention. As he becomes more fascinated with her unpredictable behavior, he finds himself increasingly drawn to her.
