Aksys Games announced that the historically-set, mystical otome title Winter’s Wish: Spirits of Edo will launch on Nintendo Switch in the west on May 18, 2023! In conjunction with this, the developer announced an exclusive set of seven full-color character cards that will be included in all first-run copies of the game.
Originally released in Japan as Kimi wa Yukima ni Koinegau (君は雪間に希う), Winter’s Wish: Spirits of Edo’s story involves a girl born with special powers in a village far from Edo who has been driven out into the snowy mountains by the terrified townspeople. Without fail, the girl sees “black Threads” whenever a disaster will occur, and her unsettling ability predicts calamities with absolute certainty.
But one day, men claiming to be members of the mysterious Oniwaban appear before her, saying she is needed in Edo. Soon, the girl’s power, which previously only brought her misfortune, will become an invaluable asset to the Oniwaban and their efforts against the monsters…
