The anime reboot of Nobuhiro Watsuki’s shonen manga, Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story held a live stream and talk show at Anime Japan 2023, and during this stream unveiled a new visual featuring Kenshin and his friends, and when we can expect the anime!
The anime revealed a new trailer previewing some upcoming characters including Takeda Kanryū, and Udō Jin-e. The voice actors on stage then also announced Yuuma Uchida as Aoshi Shinomori and Saori Onishi as Takani Megumi!
The Rurouni Kenshin anime Reboot is set to premiere in July 2023.

▍About Rurouni Kenshin
Rurouni Kenshin is a Japanese manga series serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from April 1994, to September 1999 and is one of the publisher’s most recognizable works, being adapted into several games, live-action adaptations, light novel spin-offs, mangas. The manga made its return twice, once in 2014 with the Master of Flame arc, and again in 2017 with its currently running Hokkaido Arc, despite the controversy surrounding its author Nobuhiro Watsuki.
The story is set in the early Meiji Area, and follows Himura Kenshin, a renowned assassin that fought in the Boshin War, roaming Japan as a wandering samurai, offering protection to those who need it with his signature reversed-blade katana to atone for his murderous past. On his travels, he runs into Kamiya Kaoru and helps her stop an imposter using his nickname “Battousai the manslayer”, he goes to her dojo in search of a new start to his life.
