Sweet Reincarnation Anime Reveals 2nd PV, Theme Songs, and July 3 Premiere

The television anime adaptation of Nozomu Koryu’s Sweet Reincarnation light novel series will premiere on July 3, 2023. The second promotional video and theme songs for the anime have also been unveiled.

Sweet Reincarnation’s second promotion video showcases scenes on peaceful days, where Pastry can be seen delighting his friends with his confections, contrasting the scenes of Pastry and his friends standing against bandits on the battlefield.

The opening theme song “Brand New Day” is performed by Sana from the Japanese band Sajou no Hana, while the ending theme song “Fuumi Zekka” is performed by virtual singer YuNi. Both artists commented on the songs, expressing their excitement to be part of the anime.

Sana expressed her surprise and delight at the compelling charm of the series, which contrasted with the initial cute impression given by the anime’s title and artwork. She was particularly moved by the protagonist, Pastry, who drives the story forward with his love for sweets.

YuNi expressed her deep affinity for reincarnation stories. She found the song’s lyrics to be delicate and beautiful, and it’s gradually coloring melody reminded her of sweets, to which she gladly lent her voice. YuNi also described the song as a perfect blend of sweetness and bitterness that becomes more engrossing the more you know about it.
