▍About Mobile Suit Gundam Seed
Mobile Suit Gundam Seed is an anime and a multi-media series taking place in the future calendar era, called the Cosmic Era. The series is notable in many ways for being a remake of the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime series, with many plot elements, characters, and mobile suits bearing a loose resemblance to the UC universe.
In the series humanity has undergone significant changes in space, developing into two sub-species known as Naturals, and Coordinators, genetically modified humans who have emigrated to orbital colonies to escape persecution from Naturals, humans who were born on Earth.
The story follows Kira Yamato, a young man living in an orbital colony until it was invaded and attacked by the forces of ZAFT. Left with no choice but to pilot a Gundam he sees in the midst of the conflict, Kira Yamato controls the GAT-X105 Strike mobile suit to fend off the invaders, eventually joining the Earth Alliance in its war against ZAFT.
The series has been adapted into multiple mangas, novels, and video games, most notably in the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny: Federation vs. Z.A.F.T. series for the PS2 and PSP, which heavily influenced the Gundam Extreme VS series.
