The television anime adaptation of Inori’s I’m in Love with the Villainess Yuri light novel series has unveiled the second key visual, new trailer, additional cast, and theme songs. The anime will premiere on October 2, 2023.
I’m in Love with the Villainess revolves around ordinary office worker Ohashi Rei, who wakes up in the body of the protagonist of her favorite otome game, Revolution. To her delight, she finds herself facing her favorite character, Claire François, the main antagonist of the story. Rei, now Rae Taylor, is determined to romance Claire instead of the game’s male leads, setting the stage for this girls’ love isekai comedy.
The new trailer also offers the first listen to the opening song “～Raise Y/Our Hands!～”, performed by Rae and Claire’s voice actresses Yū Serizawa and Karin Nanami, as well as the ending song “O.C. ～Optimum Combination～” which is also performed by the main characters.
Also joining the cast is KENN, who plays Rod Bauer, Daisuke Namikawa, who plays Thane Bauer, and Yōko Hikasa, who plays Yū Bauer. They are the handsome princes and male leads in the otome game Revolution.
A special screening event is scheduled for September 24 at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas in Tokyo, where the first three episodes will be previewed. The event will feature appearances by Yū Serizawa, Karin Nanami, Ai Ami, and Ikumi Hasegawa. Tickets are available for JPY $3,000, with sales through Ticket Pia.
