The Blue Lock spin-off anime film Blue Lock: Episode Nagi is scheduled for release in the spring of 2024. A new teaser visual and promotional video are revealed along with the announcement.

Based on the manga spin-off with the same name, the movie will delve into the life of Nagi Seishirō, a high school sophomore who lives his days listlessly until his classmate Reo Mikage recognizes his exceptional soccer talent. This discovery leads Nagi to the invitation to the Blue Lock project, where he meets selected strikers from all over the nation, including Reo. The film paints the journey of Nagi, filled with challenges and the pursuit of his dream, as a genius striker.

The new teaser visual offers an intense look at both Nagi and Reo, wearing TEAM V bibs during the primary selection of Blue Lock as they stare straight ahead with an aura in their eyes. Accompanied by the catchphrase “My life was filled with boredom until I met him,” the visual hints at the life-changing encounter. Echoing the sentiment in the visual, the teaser video lands on a scene from Nagi and Reo’s high school days before they enter the dormitory, showcasing the beginning of their challenge towards becoming the best striker in the world.
