It was announced that Touko Amekawa’s 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy! fantasy light novel series is getting a TV anime adaptation in 2024. A teaser visual and video with the catchphrase “My fiancé is the one who once killed me”, are also revealed alongside the announcement.
Amekawa first serialized the 7th Time Loop light novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2020, followed by a print version published by Overlap. A manga adaptation started serialization on the Comic Gardo website in December 2020. Four volumes have been published, and the fifth volume of both novel and manga versions is set for release on August 25.
The series revolves around a young duchess, Rishe Imgard Wertsner, who falls into a time loop, ultimately leading her to a new and surprising life with the Prince of a rival nation. The anime will star Ikumi Hasegawa as the protagonist, Rishe, and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Prince Arnold.
Studio Kai joins Hornets to handle the animation production. Kazuya Iwata is the director, Tōko Machida is penning the script and Kenichi Ōnuki is designing the characters.
