Shizumu Watanabe’s (渡辺静) manga series Real Account (リアルアカウント) announced a live-action adaption on the 17th January issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine sold today.
The manga started serialisation in 2014. In the story, Real account itself is the largest social networking platform in Japan. Ataru Kashiwagi is a high school student with only a few friends in real life. One day, him and about 10 thousands users are teleported to the world of Real account. They are forced to participate in various games and a death battle. Whoever finish all the games can go back to their real lives, but whoever have zero follower must die.
Not much detail about the live action movie has been unveiled.
