Capcom has released a new trailer for a new Monster Hunter Title Update which will introduce a brand new Elder Dragon, the Kulve Taroth.
Asides from what the new monster looks like and the release date for the new update, the trailer doesn’t reveal a lot. Fortunately, after the trailer was released, a Capcom blog post was released, detailing some of the new features that will be introduced in the upcoming Kulve Taroth update.
▍Siege
First off, Kulve Taroth will be available in a new limited-time quest where all hunters in the same Gathering Hub (up to 16 hunters) will have to work together on the investigation and the hunt of the new elder dragon. Hunters from the same Gathering Hub will break off into groups of four and contribute to the investigation and hunt of Kulve Taroth. The blog post also stresses “make sure to coordinate with other hunters if you want to earn the best rewards.”
▍New Gear
Just when Deviljho was introduced to MHW, Kulve Taroth will also introduce new armor and weapons to the game. However, unlike the conventional weapons, the blog post explains that the “quality of these weapons (read: type and stats) are entirely up to fate.” which prompts us to believe that the gear may work on a system similar to melding rituals. The new armor sets do not seem to be affected by luck as they are crafted in the Smithy.
Kulve Taroth Palico Gear
The new update will start on 18th April at 5pm PT and 19th April at 1am BST. Monster Hunter World is already available for PS4 and Xbox One. A PC version is expected for Fall 2018.
