During the recent Nintendo Direct (2018.9.14 [JP], 9.13.2018 [EN]), Nintendo revealed “Secret Techniques” your partner pokemon can learn and use on your adventures in the Kanto wilds in the upcoming Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee!
Secret Techniques are special skills that are exclusive to the partner pokemon in the upcoming game. Special Techniques will act like HMs from the previous Pokemon titles, they will allow partner Pokemon to perform special moves outside of combat, from cut and surf to fly.
Additionally, partner Pokemon will also be able to learn exclusive moves in combat. The Nintendo Direct also revealed how players can change their partner Pokemon’s hairstyles via the Nintendo Switch touch screen.
Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee is due out 16th November for Nintendo Switch.
▍About the Game
Pokemon: Let’s Go is an upcoming Nintendo Switch Pokemon RPG title. The game will be based on the original Pokemon Red, Green, and Blue versions with elements from Pokemon Yellow, namely having Pokemon follow you as you explore the Kanto Region. Players will be able to trade Pokemon from Pokemon GO (iOS/Android) to Pokemon Let’s Go (Switch). Both Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee is due out 16th November 2018.
