TV anime “A Certain Scientific Accelerator” (とある科学の一方通行) recently confirms its release date on 12nd July. A new visual, additional cast and staff is also revealed.
As the third season of A Certain Scientific Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲), the series follows the adventures of a group of psychically gifted teenagers attempting to master their powers in a world where both magic and science exist.
The series is animated by J.C.Staff, and directed by Big Order (ッグオーダー) director Nobuharu Kamanaka (鎌仲 史陽), with Kenji Sugihara (杉原 研二) handling series composition, and Yohei Yaegashi (八重樫洋平) designing the characters. Maiko Iuchi (井内 舞子) continues to compose music for the series. The opening song, Shadow is the Light, will be performed by THE SIXTH LIE.
▍Story
After protecting Last Order at the cost of much of his power, Accelerator now finds himself dragged into a new conflict with a sinister organization called Disciplinary Action, which plots to use Last Order for a dangerous mission. As the organization sends their agents to chase after the young girl, it’s up to him, the world’s most powerful esper and his newfound companion, Estelle Rosenthal, to protect Last Order from the danger.

▍About A Certain Scientific Accelerator
Written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Arata Yamaji, A Certain Scientific Accelerator (とある科学の一方通行) is originally a spin-off manga of Kamachi’s A Certain Magical Index (ある魔術の禁書目録) light novel series.
The manga series has launched in shōnen manga magazine Dengeki Daioh (月刊コミック電撃大王) since December, 2013 and now have nine tankōbon volumes.
