Upcoming TV anime Kabukicho Sherlock (歌舞伎町シャーロック) is confirmed to premiere on 11th October. It’s official website also reveals the synopsis and several visuals of its first episode.
Set in the chaotic town Kabukicho (歌舞伎町), the anime focuses on a detective tenement, which run by Mrs. Hudson with seven peculiar and unique individuals.
A man suddenly comes and promises to offer them ten million if they catch “Jack the Ripper”, an unidentified serial killer who is responsible for certain grotesque murder in the town. Lured by the money, the seven detectives compete against each other to be the first to catch the killer.
“Dance with Devils: Fortuna” director Ai Yoshimura (吉村愛) directs the anime in Production I.G. together with Haikyū!! (ハイキュー!!) scriptwriter Taku Kishimoto (岸本卓). Toshiyuki Yahagi (矢萩利幸) is responsible for character designs. Ego-Wrappin’ will perform the series’ opening theme song “CAPTURE”, while its ending song, “Hyakuoku Kōnen” (百億光年) is performed by pop singer Lozareena.
