A new ice-skating original anime was announced for 2020 under the title of Skate-Leading☆Stars (スケートリーディング☆スターズ). Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion mastermind Gorou Taniguchi (谷口悟朗) joins hands with Black Butler creator Yana Toboso ( 枢やな ), who directs the series and draws character design respectively at J.C.STAFF.
The series follows the story of high school students as they compete in groups in a unique form of figure skating called “Skate-Leading.”
Three main cast has been revealed, including, from left, Yuuma Uchida (内田雄馬) as Kensei Maeshima (前島絢晴); Makoto Furukawa (古川慎)as Hayato Sasugai (流石井隼人); and Hiroshi Kamiya (神谷浩史) as Reo Shinozaki (篠崎怜鳳).
