MAPPA’s upcoming original TV anime “Listeners” (リスナーズ) has revealed a key visual, PV and the full cast. It is scheduled to premiere on 3rd April 2020.

▍Story
It is set in a world where mysterious entities “Earless” endangers the life of humans. The only people that can fight the “Earless” are “Player”, who can plug themselves with robots and create music harmony.
Echo, a boy who lives in a dumpster, meets Myū, a mysterious girl with an empty audio input jack on her body. When she is plugged into an amp, something that will change the world is set in motion …. A journey of sound that will never be forgotten thus begins.
▍Staff and Production
“Listeners” is a rock music anime project developed by “Kagerou Project” (カゲロウプロジェクト) creator JIN (じん) and “Eureka Seven” (響詩篇エウレカセブン) writer Dai Sato (佐藤大). Illustrator pomodorosa is the project’s original character designer.
“Ajin” (亜人) director Hiroaki Ando (安藤裕章) is directing the anime at studio MAPPA, while Sato is overseeing the series scripts. JIN is producing the songs, and L!th!um is composing the music.
