Every year for April Fool’s Day, many Japanese developers and publishers prepare one-off unique events for the special occasion. From fun posts on Twitter to limited events and even one-off games, the occasion is loved by gamers and fans around the world. This list recaps some of the tomfooleries released this year. ▍FGO Limited April Fool’s Games
Once again, for April Fool’s day, FGO released special limited apps for fans to enjoy. Following last year’s FGO Quest, this year, two apps were released.
▍LoveLive! x Powerpuff Girls Limited Collab
LoveLive! dropped a special and uncharacteristic collaboration with Powerpuff Girls during April Fool’s Day 2020! The limited collaboration introduced the Powerpuff Girls (Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup) as members of Aqours.

▍Shojo Kageki Revue Starlight Fishing Adventure
Revue Starlight took a surprisingly weird turn during April Fool’s with a “Saijou Claudine’s the French Way of Fishing!”. Players were gifted with fishing gameplay and fishing-themed characters for the occasion. I don’t know about you, but it sure was refreshing seeing characters in fishing gear!
▍Fire Emblem Heroes Back to Pixels
For April Fool’s Day, Fire Emblem Heroes received a special update(?), turning the graphics of the game back to the classic 16-bit style.
▍Yu Yu Hakusho Kurama School Life Episode
In celebration of April Fool’s Day, Yu Yu Hakusho: 100% Maji Battle sure didn’t joke around. On the day, a special quest was released depicting a day in school with Kurama. Players who cleared the quest were also rewarded with a special student Kuram!

▍Romance on Titans
If you’re a fan of AoT, then you’ll definitely appreciate what AoT Tactics had prepared. On their official Twitter, a special post “teasing” a Titan-oriented romance simulation, Romance on Titans, was posted. Expected date… April first 3030.
