Netmarble’s upcoming mobile game “Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds” (二ノ国: Cross Worlds) reveals gameplay details at today’s LEVEL5 TGS2020 Special Meeting.
▍Sunning Graphics and Soundtrack
“Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds” recreates the artistic style of Studio Ghibli and features the soundtrack composed by Joe Hisaishi.
▍Completely Original Story
The game follows a completely original story where players play as the protagonist, who is invited to participate in the beta test of the virtual reality game “Soul Divers.” You enter the world of Ni no Kuni and when you open your eyes, you find yourself in the middle of a fierce battle.
Thanks to the help from Queen Sia and a mysterious creature Cluu, you are able to escape from danger. Afterward, the player heads to Evermore to seek aid in protecting Ni no Kuni.
▍”Kingdom” & “Familiar”System
Players will be able to costumize and build a kingdom of your own. You can even decorate you own unique kingdom with blossoming cherry blossom trees and adorable animals. You can also make Familars with different creates as they battle alongside to help your adventure.
▍Interactive Elements Among Players
You can also freely interact with other players by sitting around a campfire, enjoying a game of dice or herding sheep in the fields.
▍ Demo Play
The live stream also showcase a demo play of “Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds,” which shares a similar battle system of the original “Ni no Kuni” game series. Players will be able to walk around the world of the game and use different abilities to attack your enemy. You can also pick up items on the field to enhance your attack.
A 3vs3 Team Arena system is also available in the game. It is a team battle between two teams of three. Each game is 5 minutes long. The team that captures a total of 15 higgledies for 10 seconds win.
You can automatically capture the higgledies when you get close enough. When you knocked down a member of the opposing team. Their higgledies will be released and you can also capture them by getting close to them. The field also has different items that restore HP or knock down the opposing team.
