The TV anime adaptation of Kyo Shirodaira and Chasiba Katase’s supernatural mystery novel “In/Spectre” (虚構推理) confirms the production of a second season! A new visual and PV are revealed for the announcement.
The anime’s first season premiered on 11th January 2020. Akari Kitō and Mamoru Miyano reprise their roles as Kotoko Iwanaga and Kurō Sakuragawa. The novel’s illustrator and the manga author Chasiba Katase also reveals a new illustration to celebrate the news.

▍About the Series
“In/Spectre” is originally a novel series published by Kodansha and written by Kyo Shirodaira with illustrations by Hiro Kyohara and since volume 2, by Chasiba Katase. A manga adaptation with art by Chasiba Katase has been serialized since April 2015 in Kodansha’s shōnen manga magazine Shōnen Magazine R and since December 2019, also in Monthly Shōnen Magazine. It has been collected in eleven tankōbon volumes.
The story revolves around Kotoko Iwanaga and Kurō Sakuragawa, two unique individuals who were touched by Yokai, gaining additional powers, but in exchange for these powers, Kotoko had to give up an eye and a leg whilst Kuro’s personal life is in a mess. Together they team up to deal with renegades from the spirit world. Chasiba Katase worked on the manga adaptation of the series.
