Keigo Maki’s romantic comedy manga “Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” (可愛いだけじゃない式守さん) is getting a TV anime! The manga is currently serializing in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket.
Maki also posted a new illustration on his official Twitter to celebrate the announcement.

To celebrate the news, Magazine Pocket is offering the first manga volume for free. It is also holding a Twitter Campaign offering one autographed art reproduction and five autographed t-shirts to participants who post on Twitter with the hashtag “#式守さんアニメ化”.

“Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie” has been serialized in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website and app since February 2019 and has been collected in six tankōbon volumes. The seventh volume will be published on 8th January 2021. The manga took fifth place at niconico and DA VINCI’s Next Coming Manga Award.
The story centers on Shikimori who seems like the perfect girlfriend: cute, fun to be around, sweet when she wants to be… but she has a cool dark side that comes out under the right circumstances. And her boyfriend Izumi loves to be around when that happens!
