Nexon has announced that it is developing a 3D side-scrolling RPG “Overkill” for PC based on the multiplayer beat ’em up action game “Dungeon Fighter Online”.
“Overkill” adapts the same setting and worldview of “Dungeon Fighter Online,” which was first launched in South Korea in 2005. The franchise is one of the most-played and highest-grossing video games of all time, exceeding a total of 700 million players worldwide and having grossed over $15 billion in lifetime revenue as of May 2020.
“Overkill” is developed by Nexon’s subsidiary Neople with the power of Unreal Engine 4. Details of the release date and service area will be announced at a later date. A teaser site is also launched.
