NetEase Games has revealed a new card battle RPG “Ego Effect” (エゴエフェクト) during the NetEase Connect 2021 on May 20. The game also opens for pre-registration.
“Ego Effect” centers on 13 “craftsmen” who were transported 100 years later to the future and learn the fact that all human beings are extinct. While investigating how to return to the past, they gradually find out the cause of human extinction. The main scenario is written by Yukinori Kitajima, who also wrote for the “Senran Kagura” game series.
Netease also revealed the game’s first promotional video and interview footage with scenario writer Yukinori Kitajima.

The “Ego Effect” project also confirms a manga adaptation with Kadokawa Game Linkage. Details will be revealed later.
