Square Enix revealed a new trailer for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin during the Square Enix Presents at TGS2021. It is also confirmed to release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC via Epic Games Store on March 18, 2022.

The game is also getting a second demo for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S that includes multiplayer mode. It will add a new stage not seen in the last demo, and includes updates made based on player feedback from the first.
Developed by Team Ninja, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a spin-off of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy series. It is set in a dark fantasy interpretation of the setting for the original Final Fantasy game, with a group of people drawn into it from another world.
The main character, Jack, is consumed by a need to destroy Chaos. He is accompanied by other companions, including similar newcomers Ash and Jed, and during the journey faces the knight Garland who has taken on the role of Chaos; while seemingly the foretold Warriors of Light, each has doubts as to whether that is their role.
