The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest is a light novel series, written by Shinkoshoto and illustrated by Huuka Kazabana. It began serialization online in December 2016 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. The series has inspired a TV anime adaptation, which will premiere on January 8, 2022.
The series centers on Mathias, the world’s most powerful sage, decides reincarnation is necessary to become the strongest of all. Upon his rebirth as a young boy, Mathias is thrilled to discover he’s been born with the optimal crest for magical combat on his first try!
