Aya Kanno’s Requiem of the Rose King manga enters its final chapter in the February issue of Akita Shoten’s Monthly Princess magazine published today on January 6.
The magazine announced that the popular manga series is getting a spinoff manga in its April issue on March 4, 2022, featuring episodes that were not covered in the main story.. The 17th volume of the manga will be released in June.
The manga is inspired by Shakespearean plays Richard III and Henry VI, Part 3 and follows the character of Richard III during the tumultuous Wars of the Roses in English history. An anime adaptation will premiere on January 9, 2022 with two cours.
The series also confirmed a live-action stage play based on the TV anime in June in Tokyo. Director Fumiya Matsuzaki will be working on the stage play with a script by Hiroki Uchida.
