In an official broadcast to celebrate the series anniversary, Arc System Works announced that a newly packaged version, Guilty Gear: Strive Starter Edition 2022, will be launching for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Japan on August 9, 2022. This version includes all the DLC from the first Season Pass!
A large-scale balance update for Guilty Gear: Strive is also coming on June 10, which includes balance tuning for all characters, changes to overall game mechanics, and control improvements.
▍Cross-Play Closed Beta Planned
A cross-play closed beta between PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC is also planned to be held this Summer 2022. Further details will be announced on the official Twitter accounts, so stay tuned in regards to that.
▍Big Update Incoming!
In June 10, a big-scale update will be applied to the current version of the game, which will add balancing to the entire cast, changes to the overall game mechanics, and aims to improve controls.
