Anime director Makoto Shinkai’s latest sci-fi anime film, Suzume no Tojimari released a new trailer with English subtitles available! The trailer features the movie’s main theme, and shows several scenes from the film, piecing together the film’s premise, and showing off its unique characters!
One day, Suzuma Iwato meets a young man looking for a strange door. When she comes across it, she is drawn by its allure and opens it, unknowingly causing a series of catastrophes across Japan.
The film is set to premiere in theaters on November 11 in Japan, and worldwide except in Asia in 2023.

17-year-old Suzume Iwato’s story begins in a quiet town in Kyushu when she encounters a young man who tells her he’s looking for a door. When Suzume finds it amongst the ruins of an abandoned area, she is mesmerized by it, until she opens it, creating multiple doors all over Japan, bringing destruction to those near it.
Feeling responsible for her actions, Suzuma Iwato now must close all of these doors to a world beyond, to prevent further disasters from happening.
