A TV anime adptation for Shin Araki’s Classroom for Heroes (Eiyū Kyōshitsu) fantasy light novel series has been confirmed. A teaser visual and main staff for the anime, which is planned to air next year.
The anime is produced by Actus, directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi, with series composition and script handled by Naoki Hayashi, and character design and chief animation directed by Kosuke Kawamura.
▍About Classroom for Heroes
Written by Shin Araki and illustrated by Haruyuki Morisawa, the light novel series was collected in twelve volumes from January 2015 under Shueisha’s Dash X Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation with art by Takashi Minakuchi titled Eiyū Kyōshitsu: Honoo no Empress was serialized in Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine between February and August 2015 and was collected in a single tankōbon volume. A second manga adaptation with art by Koara Kishida has been serialized via Square Enix’s Monthly Shōnen Gangan since September 2016. It has been collected in fourteen tankōbon volumes.
Classroom for Heroes follows the story of Arnest Flaming, a girl with a high sense of duty and the top student at the academy, receiving the alias Empress of Flames. One day, she encounters the lively, carefree new transfer student Blade, a boy who seems to equal her in power, something that she finds really irritating. Follow the students’ struggles in their quest to become heroes!
