Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Dragon Ball: The Breakers to celebrate its official launch on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in Japan and SEA. NA and EU players may have to wait a little bit longer as it heads to other regions, as well as the Steam platform on October 14.
As the latest game added to the Dragonball franchise, Dragon Ball: The Breakers takes a Dead by Daylight turn as an asymmetric online multiplayer game. Players can choose between joining a team of seven Survivors and trying to escape and survive, or impersonating the powerful Raider and impeding the Survivors’ escape.
Survivors are regular civilians caught in a “Temporal Seam” – a phenomenon that traps them in a place where space and time are in disarray. They will have to rely on their wits, items scattered through the map, and cooperation with fellow survivors in order to activate the Super Time Machine and escape the Raider.
However, if they choose to play as a Raider, players will embody one of the iconic antagonists from Dragon Ball such as Cell, Buu, or Frieza. Each of them will become more dangerous as the game progresses, evolving into new powerful forms and destroying parts of the map reducing the chances for Survivors to hide.
But that’s not all, a recent tweet posted on the official Twitter account included a reveal trailer teasing Great Ape Vegeta, who will be joining the villainous rosters in season 2. While details are currently scant on this newest addition to the game as well as when Season 2 will arrive, the reveal may still provide fans of the series with a bit of excitement for what’s to come.
